UK – EUROPE – Tuesday 9 November will see an online ceremony to decide the European Logistics Association’s (ELA) 'Project of the Year' 2021 and offers the opportunity to vote for one of the six shortlisted finalists after viewing the presentations.
The ELA consists of 30 national logistics organisations, covering almost every country in Central and Western Europe as well as the European Union’s outermost regions, in the Caribbean (Martinique French West Indies) and is designed to promote and develop the supply chain industry.
Present at the ceremony will be an international audience of senior logistics professionals and officials from both the European Parliament and the European Commission, with whom the ELA regularly holds joint events and meetings.
Registration to attend the event, held between 14:00 and 18:00 CET (13:00 – 17:00 GMT) can be made HERE or by email to dominique.bergmans@elalog.org and includes the chance to vote for your favourite project.
UK representative of the ELA is the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) which put forward an Invar Systems project, involving the rollout of Hikrobot autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) across branded clothing maker Superdry’s international distribution centre network as the UK entry for the awards.
The Invar project reached the European finals having won the Technology Supply Chain Excellence category at CILTs own awards earlier this year and Tim Wright, Managing Director of Cranfield headquartered Invar Systems pleaded for support, saying:
“We’re delighted to have been selected by the CILT as the UK’s entry for this highly prestigious Award. However, we need your vote on the 9 November to win. So please support the UK’s entry by registering for the event and voting.”
