SWITZERLAND – Panalpina’s Chief Operating Officer, Andy Weber, has decided to leave the freight forwarding and logistics group, citing personal reasons. Weber joined the company in 2015. He has successfully led many turnaround projects and made the business segment Energy and Project Solutions fit for competition in the challenging energy and capital projects sector. Weber will leave the company at the end of the year. The COO position will not be replaced

GERMANY – Dr Roland Bosch has been named as the new Chief Executive Officer of DB Cargo, effective December 1. He will succeed Dr Jürgen Wilder, who chose to leave DB Cargo in late October by mutual agreement with the company.

UK – ShipServ has announced the appointment of Philip Uhrskov Nielson as Business and Account Manager for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

EUROPE – Director General of the Danish Maritime Authority, Andreas Nordseth, has been elected Chairman of the Administrative Board of the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA). Rear Admiral Nicola Carlone, Italy, was elected as Deputy Chairman.

NETHERLANDS – US – Ceva Logistics has announced the promotion of Jérôme Lorrain to Chief Operating Officer, Freight Management, adding the responsibility for Air and Ocean Freight to his current position as head of the Ground business line. Lorrain will continue to serve on the company's Executive Board and takes over the Air and Ocean role from Helmut Kaspers who has left the company.

Michael O'Donoghue, currently Managing Director of the UK, Ireland and Nordics cluster, will be taking up the reins as Managing Director for North America from Lorrain as of January 1, 2018. A replacement for O'Donoghue's current role has yet to be named. Both Lorrain and O’Donoghue will be based at the company’s North America head office in Houston, Texas.

US – Maersk Line has announced the appointment of Omar Shamsie as the new President of Maersk Line North America, effective December 1. His predecessor, Michael White, stepped down from the role in October and takes on a newly created role as Head of Global Digitalisation.

US – National healthcare supply chain firm Triose, has announced the promotion of Gerry Romanelli to Chief Commercial Officer and a Managing Owner.

CANADA – Marc Schutzbier has been named as Commercial Manager of Canada Operations at AAL.

QATAR – Qatar Airways Cargo has announced Guillaume Halluex as Acting Chief Officer Cargo, succeeding Ulrich Ogiermann, who left the airline citing family reasons.
