GERMANY – Roger Crook has resigned from his position of Chief Executive Officer of DHL Global Forwarding, Freight, and as a Member of the Management Board of the parent company Deutsche Post DHL. Frank Appel, CEO of DP DHL, has taken up the responsibilities from Crook until a suitable replacement can be found. For the operational management of the Global Forwarding business, Renato Chiavi, has been named interim CEO. Chiavi already led successfully the Ocean and Air freight business for former DHL Danzas between 1995 and 2006. Amadou Diallo remains CEO Freight, responsible for Road and Rail Transport services.

UK – The Chartered Institute for Logistics and Transport (CILT UK) has announced that CEO, Steve Agg FLICT will retire at the end of December after nearly ten years in the role.

UK – Eddie Stobart has appointed Tesco’s former Distribution Director Alex Laffey, as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective May 5.

UK – The Cowes Harbour Commission has announced the appointments of two new Commissioners Chris Preston and Jonathan Gillespie, and the re-appointment of David Riley as a Commissioner, for three year term, effective from May 1.

UK – Stuart Webster has been appointed to lead Iveco UK and Ireland. Webster takes over the role of Managing Director after 18 months as Marketing Director of CNH Industrial Financial Services – covering the whole of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Webster replaces Bob Lowden, who left to company to pursue other activities.

UK – Fleet Logistics has named Sue Branston to the position of Strategic Account Manager. She reports directly to Stuart Donnelly Chief Regional Officer for Northern Europe and will be based at the company’s Birmingham office.

NETHERLANDS – Ceva Logistics has announced the appointments of two senior Executives to its Contract Logistics sector. Friso Bakker has been named the new Senior Vice President for Global Technology Operations and Michel Vachey as Senior Vice President for Global Consumer and Retail Operations. Both will report to Ceva's Chief Operating Officer for Contract Logistics. Both Bakker and Vachey join Ceva from Kuehne + Nagel.

SWITZERLAND – Swissport has announced a new Group President and CEO. Current Chief Executive of Wincanton, Eric Born has been named to take over from Per H. Utnegaard, who will take on the role of Vice President of the company’s Board of Directors. Both will take up their new roles on August 1. Katherine Boesen has been named as the new Senior Vice President, Global Commercial and Key Account Management Ground Handling at Swissport International, effective May 1. Boesen will report directly to Juan-José Andrès Alvez, Executive Vice President Ground Handling Europe South, UK, Africa, LATAM & Global Commercial.

JAPAN – K Line has announced a series of changes to its senior management team, subject to approval at the AGM on June 24. Currently a Director, Takashi Torizumi will become a Special Executive Advisor, Keisuke Yoshida will be appointed to the Audit and Supervisory Board Member and Toshikazu Hayashi an Outside Audit and Supervisory Board Member. Both Yoshida and Hayashi will replace Norio Tsutsumi and Jiro Noguchi, who have announced their retirement.

US – Richard Peretz has been named as the Chief Financial Officer of UPS, succeeding Kurt Kuehn, who has elected to retire after 38 years with the company. Kuehn will continue his existing duties while ensuring a smooth transition of responsibilities to Peretz. The appointment of Peretz is effective July 1, 2015.

FIJI – David Aidney, the Founder of Fiji’s Road Haulage Association has stepped down from his position as President, handing his role over to Hector Smith.
