SINGAPORE – The weekly look at staff transfers in the shipping and logistics sectors starts with the news that J. Florian Pfaff, currently Vice President Germany with Lufthansa Cargo, will move to Asia with effect from June 1. Based in Singapore, he will assume the role of Vice President Asia Pacific and will continue to report directly to Dorothea von Boxberg, Member of the Executive Board and Chief Commercial Officer. A successor for his present position is currently being sought.

Pfaff's predecessor in Singapore, Frank Naeve, has been appointed Lufthansa Group Vice President Airline Sales for The Americas. He will take up his new position, based in New York City, during April.

SINGAPORE – The LOC Group has announced the appointment of Master Mariner Michael Riddell as a member of the Special Casualty Representative (SCR) Panel at Lloyd’s. Riddell has spent over 15 years in the shipping industry with particular expertise in Emergency Response and Wreck Removal projects, both operationally and with the various associated services within the Salvage Industry, as well as extensive involvement with the numerous aspects within the Maritime field. He joined LOC Singapore as a Master Mariner/Marine Consultant in November 2018.

GERMANY – DHL Express has appointed Alberto Nobis as its new Chief Executive Officer for Europe. Effective since January 1, Nobis has taken over responsibility for Express Europe from John Pearson, who became the Global CEO of DHL Express.

Nobis was the Global CFO for DHL Express from 2009 to 2012 before relocating to his home country of Italy in 2013.

UK – Associated British Ports (ABP) has announced Martin Bardle, formerly the company’s Head of Compliance, has stepped into an operational position and taken up the helm at Immingham's Humber International Terminal.

Bardle takes over from Craig Barbour, who has taken up the position as General Manager at ABP Southampton.

UK – American Airlines Cargo has announced the appointment of Tom Isik, who will be assuming the role of Director of Cargo Sales – Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Tim joins the cargo division from the Passenger Channel Sales team, where he led American Airlines’ leisure sales business across the UK, Ireland and Iceland.

UK – IRELAND – Transport Management system specialist Mandata, has announce Phil Newton as its new Sales Manager, based in Belfast, Ireland, and oversees the company’s sales activities in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

SWITZERLAND – The Trans Global Projects Group (TGP) has announced Walter Prosetti to the newly created role of Global Chartering Director, effective immediately. Prosetti brings with him more than three decades of international chartering experience and now joins the company at TGP’s European Headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.

CZECH REPUBLIC – B&H Worldwide has appointed Jakub Ptacnik as Business Development Manager to head up the company’s first central European branch office in Prague, Czech Republic.

EUROPE – StocExpo Europe, the bulk liquid storage industry event, has announced Mark Rimmer as its new Divisional Director.

US – CH Robinson has announced that Andrew Clarke will be leaving his position as Chief Financial Officer, effective March 31. The company has commenced a formal search for Clarke's successor.

US – BorgWarner has announced Kevin Nowlan as its new Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective April 1. Nowlan joins the company from Meritor where he served as Senior Vice President and CFO since 2013 and given additional responsibility of President of the Trailer and Components businesses in 2018.

BorgWarner also announced that Thomas McGill will succeed Anthony Hensel as Vice President and Controller, effective April 1, as Hensel transitions to the role of Vice President of Special Projects.
