NORTHERN IRELAND – Following on from the recent success of its national conference readers are reminded that the United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA) is holding a similar, one day only event, at the Stormont Hotel in Belfast this week on Thursday 31st March.

At the time of writing places are still available for what is likely to prove an inspiring afternoon of lively conference sessions which will be followed by a networking drinks reception and a three course dinner.

An expert line up of speakers includes Simon McKeever, Chief Executive of the Irish Exporters Association, Operations Director at Talent in Logistics, Ruth Edwards, Paul McKeown, Managing Director of TR Logistics Group and Richard Atkinson CBE, Teaching Fellow at Aston University, one of the UK’s leading logistics faculties.

The UKWA Warehouse Showcase Ireland will commence at 1pm BST and will provide an opportunity for professionals from the Irish logistics and warehousing sector to get together and talk about the challenges the sector is facing.

There will be discussions on potential strategies going forward, from the warehouse property market, labour shortages and going green to going digital and adopting new technology with UKWA CEO Clare Bottle explaining:

“We’re keen to reach out to warehousing and logistics companies in Northern Ireland, sharing insights and our vision for this fast-growing sector. The theme, as with our National Conference, will be ‘Building Tomorrow’s Workforce Today’. As we start to overcome the challenges of Brexit and Covid, let’s get together and get back to business!”

Tickets can be ordered HERE.
