NORTH AMERICA – Volvo trucks has introduced the second in its series of ‘Welcome to My Cab’ series with a video of Tim Baumgartner, owner of a heavy-duty towing operation, and his award-winning ‘Freedom Flyer’ a patriotically themed Volvo VNL. The project aims to show Volvo trucks in the best possible light and the Oregon based road haulage operator certainly delivers.

Baumgartner, a veteran of the Vietnam War and founder and owner of Crockett’s Interstate Towing, has racked up an impressive 1.2 million miles in his rig and he enthuses about the reliability and strength of his chosen brand whilst eulogising about the patriotic hand painted panels which decorate the truck. Magnus Koeck, Volvo Trucks Vice President, Marketing and Brand Management, commented:

“The latest episode of ‘Welcome to My Cab’ adds to the momentum of this worthwhile programme highlighting professional truck drivers and their passion for trucks and the road. We hope many more drivers will invite us to learn about their trucks and their livelihoods, which are so vital to the economy and our daily lives.”

The ‘Welcome to My Cab’ series offers professional truck drivers a way to show their appreciation of large trucks and inspire others. Volvo drivers can click here to enter for a chance to be featured in the series.
