UK Freight Forwarder SBS Pushes For Bigger US Presence

Two Major new Appointments for Kent Company

UK – US – SBS Worldwide, the freight forwarder and logistics and supply chain management company with head offices in Dartford, Kent, have now made two senior managerial appointments to strengthen their services. Lars Kloch, has moved from Geodis Wilson where he has held several posts since 2004, including Business Development Director for the Americas and Global Account Director. Mr Kloch will become the first Managing Director appointed by SBS in its expanding US market, having previously gained experience with Exel Logistics and Dan Transport, Denmark, now DSV.

The second appointment is to confirm Doug Overett, formerly UK Country Manager with SBS as UK Managing Director. Mr Overett has worked for several freight groups in the UK including Uniserve and Wincanton and was also working at Exel at the same time as Mr Kloch.

Steve Walker, Chairman of the group was enthusiastic about both appointments saying;

SBS were established in 1983 and now operate four US and 14 Chinese facilities in addition to their 6 UK locations.
