Turkish Based Logistics Firm Complete Syrian Shipping Contract

Company Reports Fastest Ever Turnaround

SYRIA - Advance International Transport the Turkish based international logistics group who moved their headquarters out of the UK in 1992, have announced that they have successfully completed a contract from Syrian glass manufacturers Adra First Glass who are a subsidiary of the Iranian Kaveh Glass Industry Group. The contract consisted of transporting a variety of consignments including out of gauge movements to the new plant under construction 35km north of Damascus.

Jawad Kamel, president and CEO of Advance International Transport stated:

“This was a significant contract and one that we were proud to have completed successfully. In total, we transported 308 containers of all types and sizes, including flat beds with OOG cargo and 40ft boxes, to Adra First Glass, containing equipment and machinery for this new manufacturing complex.

“In executing this contract we were able to set records for the quick turnaround of containers from origins in Europe and Asia taken to Adra through Lattakia, Syria's busiest and most modern seaport. We returned empty containers from the jobsite within the shortest possible time ever recorded for this volume of containers in Syria."
