Transport Charity Calls For Daredevils from the Logistics Community

Make a Difference with a Sponsored Event

UK – International charity Transaid is calling on daring members of the international freight and logistics community to undertake challenges to raise funds for their work in the developing world and to raise awareness of their life saving transportation projects.

The organisation wants participants to come up with challenges that will stretch the abilities of those taking part and catch the imagination of sponsors. Among some ideas are fire-walking, parachuting and tree-top challenges.

Road deaths are the third biggest killer following HIV/AIDS and malaria in sub- Saharan Africa and the charity works to cut this figure by initiating training programs for logistics workers and funding public transportation in remote regions. Anyone interested in holding a sponsored event should email  aggie@transaid.org  or ring 020 7387 8136.

Transaid will also be running its yearly cycling challenge in Madagascar in 2012 which will allow participants to explore the spectacular island's parks and admire a diversity of plants and animals. The challenge will take nine days and cover almost 500 km. Anyone wishing to find out more should click HERE.
