Transport and Logistics Staff Still Moving On Despite the Current Crisis

Appointments and Departures in Shipping and Associated Sectors

SWEDEN – Despite the current hiatus, there is still some staff news coming from the logistics industry. I-Tech, the bio-technology company responsible for Selektope®, the barnacle repelling active agent for use in marine coatings, has appointed Per Svensson to the role of Sales Director.

Svensson joined I-Tech following from Emerson Automation Solutions where he served as Director, Global Sales & Aftermarket, Marine Solutions.

UK – Seadrill Partners has announced that Grant Creed will step down as Chief Financial Officer of Seadrill Partners, in order to support Seadrill Limited on a full time basis. John Roche, Chief Executive Officer will assume the responsibilities of CFO in addition to his current role until a suitable replacement is found.

HUNGARY – Waberer's International has announced that Barna Erdélyi, current CFO, has been appointed as interim CEO, effective since March 23, to replace Robert Ziegler who is leaving his CEO role and also resigning from the Board of Directors.

US – Norfolk Southern has announced the promotion of Vanessa Allen Sutherland as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, effective April 1. Allen Sutherland joined Norfolk Southern in 2018 as Vice President, Law. She was promoted to Senior Vice President – Government Relations and Chief Legal officer in 2019.

US – Commercial Vehicle Group has announced the appointment of Harold Bevis as President and Chief Executive Officer, replacing Patrick Miller, effective immediately. Bevis will also remain a Director of the company.

Bevis most recently served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Boxlight and has served as an independent director on CVG's Board of Directors since June 2014.

The group also announced that James Ray Jr. has been elected to the company’s Board of Directors, effective immediately, to serve until the annual meeting of stockholders in 2020 or until his successor shall have been duly elected and qualified. Ray currently serves as President, Engineered Fastening at Stanley Black & Decker.

CHINA – LOC Group has announced the appointment of Shi Wenchao to the role of Managing Director of LOC China. He will be based in Shanghai and will oversee the group’s Chinese operations which includes offices in Shanghai and Tianjin.
