John Good Achieves London Heathrow Badge Code Status

UK – Having expanded its freight forwarding base at its new headquarters in Hull with the addition of a dedicated four person export department, John Good has added to its portfolio of four existing customs badge codes (Manchester, Leeds, Bradford and Liverpool airports) with the news John Good Air has been granted its own customs badge code for London Heathrow Airport.

Air freight is another growing area for the long established logistics outfit with clients demanding the fast services available particularly with regard to high value, low volume shipments and of course perishable cargoes. Also attractive are the insurance premiums, generally lower than those via ocean freight, another plus being better security, with a reduction in the risk of both theft and damage.

So as times move on for the traditional liner agency and sea freight forwarder air carriage from London itself provides John Good with another service which is becoming ever more important to the group, with the availability and reliability provided by a range of carriers offering multiple flight opportunities. On receiving its latest customs badge Seamus Jennings, Managing Director, commented:

“We are delighted to be able to continue to expand our range of services having established our air freight division, John Good Air, back in January. With our own customs badge covering one of the world’s most important airports, London Heathrow, we will be able to control cargo at an earlier stage in the supply chain which will benefit our customers by offering greater visibility enabling them to make informed decisions.”
