NORWAY – Wallenius Wilhelmsen has nominated Rune Bjerke for election as Vice Chair of the Board at the company's Annual General Meeting on April 28. The Nomination Committee believes that it is important to take a long-term view and to plan for the eventual recruitment of a new Chair of the Board when the current Chair's term expires in 2021.

Håkan Larsson, the current Chair, shall continue to serve through his term, and the Nomination Committee considers that a period of overlap between Larsson and his successor will benefit the Company and the functioning of its Board.

Bjerke's employment as CEO of DNB expires on June 17 and he will not be able to take up his nominated role until after this date. The Nomination Committee therefore proposes that he is elected as a member of the Board with effect from June 18.
