GERMANY – Dominic Gaida has been the new Branch Manager at Gebrüder Weiss in Esslingen, southern Germany, since the beginning of the year. He succeeded Jochen Gonser who will in future assume responsibility for managing sales for the economically strong, greater Stuttgart area at the same location.

GERMANY – Global ship management company V.Group has announced the appointment of Bjoern Sprotte as Chief Executive Officer, Ship Management. Based in Hamburg and reporting directly to V.Group CEO, René Kofod-Olsen, Sprotte replaces Franck Kayser, who has requested to refocus his overall responsibilities and will be assuming leadership of the Group’s important activities in Denmark.

Sprotte joins V.Group from OSM Maritime Group, where he spent four years in a number of senior roles.

SWEDEN – Anna Westerberg has been appointed as President Volvo Buses and new member of Volvo Group Management, effective February 1. She currently holds the position as head of Volvo Group Connected Solutions.

NETHERLANDS – The TT Club has announced Marcus Kuling as a Specialist Underwriter in the Benelux region. He will be based in Rotterdam as part of the Thomas Miller BV team and solely dedicated to servicing the TT Clubʹs European Membership.

NETHERLANDS – The U-Freight Group has restructured the management team at its headquarters in Amsterdam. Robert Rens has been promoted from Operations Manager to Operations Director and will take responsibility for work undertaken by current Managing Director in the Netherlands, Cas Scheij, who has reached official retirement age but will remain in post on a part-time basis.

DENMARK – Deacon David Noval has been appointed as National Director of Stella Maris’ Danish mission.

UK – Gefco UK has announced the appointment of Cédric Chacon as its new Managing Director. In his new role, Chacon will also take on the responsibility of leading the UK’s Air & Sea division and drive greater integration between the two businesses.

UK – Pall-Ex Group has announced Helen Day as its new Business Development Manager, with her primary focus on the Fortec Distribution Network.

UK – Maritime Transport has announced three new appointments to its senior management team. From 1st February, Vincent Van Mackelenbergh joins Maritime’s Board of Management as Chief Commercial Officer. With immediate effect, Alex Williams has assumed the role of Managing Director – Distribution, and Shaun McConnell has been appointed Director of Human Resources.

INDIA – Allcargo Logistics has appointed Suresh Kumar as its Chief Executive Officer – India. He will report at a strategic level to Shashi Kiran Shetty, Chairman, Allcargo Logistics, ECU Worldwide and Gati, and to Adarsh Hegde, Joint Managing Director, Allcargo Logistics, on all operational matters.

US – Sea Machines Robotics has announced the promotion of Phil Bourque to the role of business development and Sales Director, US Government, effective immediately. In his new position, Bourque will primarily focus on advancing the company’s government contracts and related special projects. Bourque has relocated to Norfolk, Virginia.
