Now owned by financial investors in the United Arab Emirates, whilst the Norden agreement is managed from the ISS vessel supply chain hub in Mumbai, this new deal is a purely European affair with the Bermuda headquartered group seeing port agency and vessel clearance services handled in the ISS offices situated in all major European ports and terminals.
Team Tankers International is one of the largest chemical tanker operators in the world, with a fleet of over 40 chemical tankers, and while ISS has been providing port agency for Team Tankers International since 2013, this new agreement will capitalise on the logistics providers Europe-wide offices. Jørgen-Ole Christensen, Senior Operations Manager, Team Tankers International commented:
“We are very pleased with this extended agreement with ISS and we expect great benefits and a more streamlined service on the agency side.”
ISS endeavours to provide a portfolio of landside commercial and humanitarian logistics, transit, offshore support, information and data as well as a range of associated maritime services and voyage-management technology. The company additionally offers a growing range of outsourcing services including global crew and marine spares logistics, port hub agency management and Enterprise Resource Planning solutions through its subsidiary ShipNet. Neill Tomlin, the company’s Chief Commercial Officer concluded:
“The new agreement will deliver simple, constant value to Team Tankers International across our European network. We’re looking forward to supporting Team Tankers as they expand.”
