UK – First up this week in shipping and logistics staff movement news is that former Martinair Senior Executive, Frank De Jong, has joined British all-cargo airline CargoLogicAir (CLA) as its new Chief Operations Officer, replacing Sten Rossby who left the company to join newly formed ACE Belgium Freighters as its Chief Operating Officer & AOC Accountable Manager. 

De Jong previously worked at CargoLogicManagement as its Director of Product Development and prior to that, served several senior management roles at Air France-KLM Martinair. In his new role with CLA, De Jong will be responsible for flight, ground, and technical operations, reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer David Kerr.

CLA also announced three other senior appointments with Freddie Overton joining the company’s commercial team from IAG cargo where he served as Regional Director for Europe & Americas. Sean Pettit has been named Head of Financial Control and Sarah Owen has been promoted to Head of the Operations Control Centre at CLA's new headquarters in Stockley Park, near London Heathrow Airport.

UK – GAC UK has announced the appointments of four new General Managers. Jeremy Troughton has been named General Manager - Marine Leisure and Events. Formerly Project Manager for the 2017-2018 Volvo Ocean Race, one of the world’s longest professional sporting events, Troughton brings over 16 years of experience in yachting and event management, including the London Olympic Games.

Wynne Raymond has been appointed General Manager – Shipping, based in GAC UK’s Grangemouth, Scotland, headquarters. Raymond has been with GAC for five years and has gained an in-depth understanding of the shipping industry – both from his time leading the UK shipping team and from his background as a buyer of shipping services.

Adrian Henry has been named General Manager – Oil, Gas and Renewables (OGR). Henry has worked with GAC UK for 17 years, the last four of which as Manager of the OGR team, based in the Shetland Islands.

Mark Horton has been named General Manager - Freight Services. Based in Manchester, Horton has headed the Freight Services team for three years and previously managed Cargo Gulf UK, GAC’s non-vessel operating common carrier (NVOCC), totalling 13 years with GAC.

UK – Renault Trucks UK and Ireland has announced the appointment of Carlos Rodrigues to the role of Managing Director, effective October 1.

Previously Chief Financial Officer at Volvo Group Trucks UK, his appointment follows the decision to separate the Volvo Group Trucks Market Company organisation between Renault Trucks and Volvo Trucks in the UK & Ireland, Spain, Belgium, Italy and France.

US – G&D Integrated has announced the promotion of Jeff Cohen to Chief Operating Officer. Cohen joined G&D Integrated in 2013 as Vice President of the Transportation Division. He will report to the President and Chief Executive Officer, Joe O'Neill, and have overall responsibility for G&D Integrated's three operating divisions of Transportation, Contract Logistics, and Manufacturing as well as the Human Resources, Customer Relations, and Information Technology Departments.

US – Navistar International has appointed Julie Ragland as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, effective September 17. Ragland replaces Terry Kline, who announced his retirement. She joins the company from Adient, supplier of automotive interiors, where she served as Vice President, Information Technology. Ragland will report to Troy Clarke, Navistar's Chairman, President and CEO.

US – Masterpiece International has announced Nick Iosue as its new Executive Vice President of Sales, effective since September 4. Iosue is based out of Masterpiece's New York City Headquarters and reports directly to the Thomas Gilgen, President of Masterpiece International.
