CANADA – Canadian Pacific Railway (CP) has announced the appointment Joan Hardy as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Grain and Fertiliser, effective April 1. Hardy joins CP after 12 years at Richardson International where she served as Vice-President, Transportation. Prior to that she spent 21 years at Canadian National.
CANADA – CargoJet has announced the appointment of James Crane as Chairman of the CargoJet Board.
US – UPS has announced the appointment of Jim Barber as Chief Operating Officer, assuming responsibility for the company’s global small package, freight, supply chain and freight forwarding units, and engineering. Further, Nando Cesarone is named International President, replacing Barber and joining UPS’s Management Committee, the company’s senior leadership group.
Barber has served as president of UPS International since 2013, and boast a long career with the group, having joined UPS in 1985, when he worked as a delivery driver.
Cesarone, a 27-year UPS veteran, will be responsible for all UPS International operations. Cesarone was appointed president of UPS’s European operations in 2016.
US – American Trucking Associations' (ATA) Technology & Maintenance Council announced that Jeff Harris, Vice President of Maintenance at USA Truck Inc., has been elected 2018-2019 general Chairman and Treasurer during the organisation's Annual Meeting.
Harris, who served this past year as the Council's Vice Chairman and Chairman of meetings, will succeed Glen McDonald, Director of Maintenance at Ozark Motor Lines in this role at the conclusion of TMC's 2018 Annual Meeting.
US – FleetUp has announced the promotion of Charles Orlando to Vice President of Marketing, effective immediately. Orlando previously served as Director of Marketing and Sales at FleetUp
US – Hyundai Motor America has named Victoria Walden as Manager of Social Media and Influencer Engagement. She reports to Michael Stewart, senior group manager of Corporate and Marketing Public Relations.
US – Michael Moskowitz a veteran in the rail and highway/bridge sectors with more than 35 years of experience, and Sheri Williamson, who boasts an extensive background in transportation project management and design with more than 25 years of experience, have both been promoted to STV Vice President.
US – United Continental Holdings (UCH) has elected Michele Hooper as an Independent Director of the company effective since March 5.
US – REZ 1 has announced the appointment of Pervinder Johar as its new CEO.
US – First Priority Group has announced that Mike Britt has joined the company’s Advisory Board. Britt spent 30 years at UPS, transforming its fleet and charting its strategy in clean fleet technology. Prior to his retirement, Britt was UPS’ Director of Maintenance and Engineering of its International Operations.
US – ParkWhiz has announced Yona Shtern as its new chief executive officer, assuming the role from founder Aashish Dalal who will become Chairman of the company's Board of Directors.
SWITZERLAND – Panalpina has proposed Sandra Emme to be elected as a new Member of the Board, at the company’s AGM in May. She would succeed Chris Muntwyler, who has decided to not stand for re-election. Emme has held several position sat Google Switzerland and has, since 2014, been the Industry Head for Luxury and Finance in Global Business Development and a member of the Google management board.
NORWAY – Birgit Liodden has decided to leave Nor-Shipping and the Norway Trade Fair to pursue new opportunities. Per Martin Tanggaard, who previously held the role as Exhibition Director, is now taking over as Director for Nor-Shipping.
UK – CargoLogicAir has announced that Dmitry Grishin has handed over his responsibilities to the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, David Kerr.
GERMANY – Kerry Logistics has appointed Birte Schulz as its new Commercial Director, Europe, based at the company’s office in Hamburg, Germany. She previously held positions as head of business development and head of key account management at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
FRANCE – Bureau Veritas has appointed Andreas Ullrich as Global Market Leader, Passenger Ships & Ferries. He succeeds Jean-Jacques Juenet, who retires in April.
CHINA – ZTO Express has announced that James Guo will step down from his role as Chief Financial Officer, effective May 1, citing personal reasons. Huiping Yan, ZTO's current Vice President of Finance will take over the CFO role.
