UK – Our first round-up of staff changes in the world of shipping and logistics in 2015 starts with the announcement from the Freight Transport Association that its Chief Executive Officer, Theo de Pencier, is to retire, after eight years leading the Association. Current Managing Director of Finance & Operations, David Wells has been named as de Pencier's successor effective May 1. Theo de Pencier will continue as the FTA Chief Executive until the end of April and will work together with Wells during the first few months to ensure a smooth transition.

UK – The UK Warehousing Association (UKWA) has named Peter Ward as its new CEO, following the recent announcement that its longstanding CEO, Roger Williams is to hand over his current role in mid- January 2015. Peter Ward has most recently been the Commercial Director and Head of Cargo Supply Chain at London Gateway.

UK – Prohire Plc has announced its Commercial Director, Dave Barlow has been appointed Group Managing Director, as of January 1.

UK – BMT SMART, the specialist fleet and vessel performance company of BMT Group, has appointed Martin Penney as Sales and Marketing Director.

UK – ITS Marine has appointed David Rogers as Business Manager, Technical Ship Management.

AUSTRALIA – The Martin Bencher Group has announced Mikkel Kristensen as the new Managing Director of its Australian office, as of January 1.

AUSTRALIA – Anders Dommestrup has been named as the new CEO of Victoria International Container Terminal.

DUBAI – Emirates SkyCargo has appointed Henrik Ambak to the position of Senior Vice President, Cargo Operations Worldwide. He joins Emirates SkyCargo after having spent the past 27 years in various roles in the air cargo industry, having worked for companies such as Novia, CSLux and Cargolux Airlines

US – Cagney Global Logistics has announced Rhonda Moon as Vice President of Client Solutions, based at the company’s headquarters in Irving, Texas.

US – Mike Detmer has been appointed to the role of Chief Operating Officer at New Nautical Coatings, based at the company’s headquarters in Clearwater, Florida. Detmer will report to Erik Norrie, co-Founder and CEO of Sea Hawk Paints.

US – Northrop Grumman has announced the appointment of Kevin Mitchell as Vice President of Global Supply Chain – Aerospace Systems, effective immediately, succeeding Lisa Kohl who has announced her retirement from the company.

MEXICO – tna has announced the appointment of Sonia Loeza as General Manager – Latin America, based at tna’s office in Mexico City
