Staff Changes at the Top of Europe's Biggest Freight Only Air Cargo Carrier

Luxembourg Company Heads the Week's Logistics Appointments and Resignations

LUXEMBOURG – Stirrings this month at Europe’s largest all freight airline when, following last week’s resignation of Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Member of the Executive Committee Robert van de Weg due to irrevocable differences, Peter van de Pas, Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Member of the Cargolux Executive Committee has now also tendered his resignation to the cargo carrier effective March 31. No successor has currently been named.

ITALY – The Management Committee of the Freight Leaders Council has appointed Clara Ricozzi as its new Vice President.

THE NETHERLANDS – Air Menzies International has appointed Rinaldo Vels to the newly-created position of Vice President, Continental Europe. Based at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Vels will report to Sharon Wright, AMI’s Regional Vice President, Europe.

UK – BiS Henderson has appointed Paula O’Reilly to head up its newly established Procurement Recruitment Practice.

UK – The Keswick Enterprises Group Limited has appointed Andrew Austin to the newly created position of Senior Executive Officer. At the same time Andrew becomes Deputy Chairman of the Group’s Spatial Global Limited subsidiary, where he will support Chairman Mike Wallis and Managing Director Bryan Hindle with the development of its freight, mail, logistics and courier products. He will be based at Spatial’s headquarters in Castle Donington.

CROATIA – The Croatian Government has appointed Igor Butorac as its new President of the Administrative Council of the Coastal Shipping Agency, succeeding Boris Matošić. Denis Ikić, Goran Begović, Mato Botica, and Vladimir Svalina have all been dismissed from the governing council.

The new members of the Agency are Igor Butorac, Chairman and Members of the Board Zorica Lucic and Ksenija Košćević-Čuvalo. Radoslav Barisic will represent the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds and; Hrvoje Radovanić, will represent the Ministry of Finance.

INDIA – Current Director of the technical and offshore services of the Shipping Corporation of India, Arun Gupta has been named as its new Chairman and Managing Director. He will serve a 5 year term or until he receives other orders. Director of Finance BK Mandal, who is to retire in May, has been acting as the interim Chairman and Managing Director since January 1, 2013, when the previous Chairman S Hajara retired after an extra year at the top.

CHINA – Xiamen Port has made a series of changes to its senior staff with the appointment of Ke Dong, as President with Cai Liqun and Chen Zhen taking the roles of General Manager and Chief Accountant of the company respectively.

SINGAPORE – US – The Board of Directors of Heidmar has announced the appointment of Hans van der Zijde as its new Chief Executive Officer. van der Zijde has been the CEO of WOMAR, a joint venture between himself and Heidmar.

US – Nerak Systems has made two new appointments to its senior staff with Volker Brandt appointed as President and Simone Wakefield named as Executive Vice President but retains her role as Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation

US – The Board of Directors of Approach Resources has announced the appointment of Vean Gregg III as a new Director, effective since January 23.

KENYA – Lucy Mbugua has been officially named as the Managing Director of the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) for a term of three years, effective January 31, after acting in the capacity of Managing Director since August 2013. She succeeds Stephen Gichuki.
