Shipping and Supply Chain Executives to Gather for Port Strategy Summit

Abu Dhabi to Host Annual High Level Forum for Industry Leaders

UAE – With billions going into developing port infrastructure worldwide, the 2nd annual Port Management Strategy Summit which takes place next year in Abu Dhabi from February 11 to 12, has announced its line-up of speakers who will gather to discuss ‘how to seize new opportunities with value-added port strategies in today’s market and create maximum impact in the business’.

Attendees will hear from Director General of Sharjah Ports & Customs and Hamriyah Free Zone Authority, HE Rashid Al Leem; Capt. Feisal Saad, Manager Port Operations at Ras Laffan Port, Qatar Petroleum; Christophe Piloix, COO at the Port of Marseille-Fos Authority; Angelo De Jong, Senior Projects Manager at Abu Dhabi Terminals; Marvin Chetty, General Manager of the African Region, Transnet National Ports Authority; Dr. Hector Hernandez, Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Masdor Institute of Technology; Shashi Shekhar, Founder and Group President of the Supply Chain and Logistics Group; and Peter Wolters, Secretary General of the European Intermodal Association

The forum will aim to help the attendees familiarise themselves with the latest technologies to improve the port operational efficiency and enhance their awareness on port performance improvement tools.

At the first edition of the Ports Management Strategy Summit, held earlier this year on 5-6 February, over 100 maritime professionals and 15 thought leaders across the globe had gathered to share insights, discuss emerging trends, strategies and lesson from Port Management initiatives applied across the globe. Delegates had the opportunity to grow their network and participate in round table discussions to enhance their knowledge of best practices.
