CANADA – Canadian Pacific has announced the passing of Board Director, Linda Morgan who died on November 4, at the age of 63 after a long battle with cancer. She had been a member of Canadian Pacific's Board of Directors since 2006 and was recently chair of the Health, Safety, Security, and Environment Committee and Member of the Audit Committee. Morgan had a long career in the transport industry having served as the Chair of the US Surface Transportation Board and its predecessor, the Interstate Commerce Commission between 1995 and 2002.

CANADA – Pudo, a customisable parcel pick-up and drop-off service, has named Douglas Baker as its Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately.

US – CSX has announced the appointment of Drew Glassman as Vice President – Strategy.

US – Crowley Maritime has announced that company veteran, Craig Tornga has assumed the role of Vice President of Stakeholder Relations for Alaska. He will relocate from Houston to Anchorage, and will continue to report to Rocky Smith, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Petroleum Distribution and Marine Services.

US – The American Trucking Association Board of Directors has elected Pat Thomas, Senior Vice President of State Government Affairs for UPS, as the federation's 71st Chairman, replacing Duane Long, Chairman of the Longistics company.

US – CH Robinson has named Robert Biesterfeld as President of its North American Surface Transportation (NAST) division, effective January 1, 2016. Biesterfeld is a 16-year veteran of the company, most recently serving as Vice President of its Truckload service line. Scott Satterlee, the current President of NAST, is retiring to spend more time with his family. Biesterfeld will report to CH Robinson CEO John Wiehoff.

US – American Airlines has announced the promotions of Bill Cade to Vice President – Base Maintenance and Engines, Craig Barton to Vice President – Technical Services, effective immediately. Both Cade and Barton will report to David Seymour, Senior Vice President – Technical Operations.

The group has also named Susan Kronick and Martin Nesbitt to its Board of Directors, effective immediately.

US – Meritor has announced the appointment of Paul Bialy as Vice President, Controller and Principal Accounting Officer, effective December 1. He will continue to report to Kevin Nowlan, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

US – Stewart & Stevenson has announced the appointment of Anthony Davis as its Chief Executive Officer and member of the company’s Board of Directors, effective February 1, 2016. Davis will be stationed in Houston, Texas and succeeds John Simmons who has been promoted to Vice Chairman for Financial Affairs.

US – Joe O’Connor has joined Southwest Risk as Senior Vice President, Broker & Underwriter with a primary focus on developing new Marine & Energy products.

BERMUDA – Following the merger of TAL International and Triton, TAL International’s President and CEO Brian Sondey will serve as CEO, Triton’s President and CEO Simon Vernon will serve as President, and TAL International’s CFO John Burns will serve as CFO of the combined company. Triton’s Chairman Ed Schneider will see the transaction through to close and has announced that he will then retire.

The Board of Directors of the newly-formed company will initially be comprised of nine Directors. It is expected that three Directors will come from Triton’s existing Board of Directors with one additional Director to be identified by Triton, four will come from TAL International’s existing Board of Directors, and one new independent Director will be identified by TAL International's Nominating and Governance Committee after conducting an external search process.

ASIA PACIFIC – Following several years leading Dachser’s Communications team within the Corporate Marketing Unit at Head Office in Kempten, Germany, Corinna Seidel will now be driving the company’s branding and communications in Asia Pacific.

SINGAPORE – Global law firm Clyde & Co has announced the that Andrew Gray, Partner in the Marine, Trade and Energy team at Hill Dickinson, will be joining as a Partner in the global Marine team in early 2016, to be based in Singapore.

DUBAI – GAC group has announced the appointment of Shanaka Fernando as Regional Business Development Manager, Oil & Gas – Middle East. He is based at GAC’s regional headquarters in Dubai and reports directly to the Group Vice-President for the Middle East, Lars Bergstrom.

NETHERLANDS – The Bomin Group has named Kieran Brown as a Credit Management Specialist.
