Second Senior Executive Quits Major Shipping Firm as Global Freight Forwarding Group Gets New Boss

Staff Changes at the Top in the Logistics Sector in Denmark and Switzerland Announced This Week

DENMARK – US – Just two weeks after the shock departure of Søren Toft from Maersk (and the third consecutive week of appointments where his name appears), the Danish shipping giant has announced a second senior executive to leave the company. Carolina Dybeck Happe, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President at AP Moller-Maersk has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of General Electric (GE), effective in early 2020.

As CFO, Dybeck Happe will lead GE's global finance organisation and financial activities including accounting and controllership, financial planning and analysis, tax, investor relations, internal audit, and treasury. She will also lead GE’s digital technology and global operations functions. Dybeck Happe will be based in GE’s Boston headquarters.

DENMARK – Anemoi Marine Technologies has appointed Kim Diederichsen as CEO with the task to take the company’s wind assisted propulsion systems to a global market. Diederichsen joins Anemoi with a wealth of relevant maritime and technical experience having served most recently as CEO of Bawat, a Danish based company supplying ballast water management systems.

SWITZERLAND – The International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) has announced Dr Stéphane Graber as its new Director General, who will take up his role in Geneva on January 1, 2020.

UK – Core Management Logistics (CML) has announced the appointment of Kerry Delaney, currently Commercial Director at CML, as its new Managing Director. Delaney takes up this role from Mark Webb, who has served as Managing Director since January 2016 and who will move into the position of Chairman. They have been working alongside each other to allow for a smooth transition of the business and continuity of leadership.

UK – Europa Worldwide has named Alec Kirkbride, to the newly created role of Head of Property and Facilities.

GERMANY – Transporeon has named Stephan Siebar as its new CEO, effective since November 12.

GERMANY – Lloyd’s Register has appointed Markus Büsig as its Marine & Offshore Area Manager for North Europe, effective January 1, 2020. He will be based in Hamburg.

GERMANY – Effective March 1, 2020, Dr. Robert Gutsche will serve as CFO of the owner-managed logistics company Röhlig. He will be responsible for finance, taxes, legal affairs and IT. Gutsche will succeed Hans-Ludger Körner, who will take on new ‘professional challenges’ following his time at Röhlig.

US – Ports America has announced the appointment of Peter Levesque as President. Levesque will join Ports America in February 2020 and will report to Mark Montgomery, who will continue in the role of Chief Executive Officer.

Since 2016, Levesque has worked for Modern Terminals in Hong Kong, as Group Managing Director and CEO.
