Russian Logistics Group Shows Off Its New Freight Offerings at Multimodal Moscow Event

TransRussia 2014 Gives Stakeholders Opportunities to Explore Alternative Transport Solutions

RUSSIA – Today sees the opening of the 19th Moscow International Transport & Logistics Exhibition where the Russian Railways Logistics group is to present a variety of new projects and services to its freight customers. Every year the TransRussia 2014 event witnesses a gathering of local and international transport and logistics sector players with over five hundred exhibitors from twenty nine countries appearing at the event last year.

This year Russian Railways Logistics representatives will held a series of talks with customers and partners at the company stand (C 303, pavilion 1, hall 3) and present where RZDL joint ventures, such as the Trans-Siberian route, the Austrian Far East Land Bridge (FELB), YuXinOu, Euro Rail Trans and the Black Sea Ferry.

YuXinOu is the Russian - Chinese joint venture created in an attempt to develop and balance out land based trade between the two. Since the beginning of the project 37 container trains were dispatched from Chongqing, China destined to Duisburg, Germany.

With Black Sea Ferries, a new joint venture of the company, RZD Logistics plans to diversify its logistics service portfolio by providing international transportation by rail and ferry in the Black and the Baltic Seas. Black Sea Ferries operating activities include chartering of vessels in the ports of the Russian Far East in the framework of unified transportation and logistics chains of RZD Holding.

TransRussia 2014 runs until the 25th April at the Crocus City Hall in Moscow. Since the establishment of RZDL as a logistics centred branch of Russian Railways in 2010, the company has been involved in organising the shipment of in excess of seven million tonnes of cargo and deals with every facet of intermodal and multimodal transport both domestically and internationally.
