BELGIUM – WORLDWIDE – The dates for the third annual conference of the Project Professionals Group (PPG) have been confirmed as 30th June to 3rd July and the venue will be the Antwerp Hilton in the Groenplaats, at the heart of the old city. PPG confirm they have already received well over 100 registrations for a meeting of an eclectic mix which range from port managers to shipping lines and freight forwarders.

PPG general manager Kevin Stephens has been delighted by the response.“The conference is the single most important membership activity for the year and a unique opportunity to mix, network and learn more about new business opportunities and industry trends,” he said. “It provides facilities and a scheduler to arrange face-to-face meetings that are a very cost effective way to co-ordinate business activities from loading to discharge and transportation to the final destination that may involve three or more PPG members.”

The past year has seen members cooperate of some extremely large and complex projects and this years event is sponsored by a diverse range of members including the Port of Antwerp, Rickmers-Linie GmbH, Beluga Chartering GmbH, The Port of Corpus Christi Authority, Coli Shipping & Transport N.V (Belgium), Sea-Concert (Thailand), TransProject LLC (USA), Sahil Freight Express (India), Polytra N.V. (Belgium) and Quebec Stevedoring.

This years meeting will see a number of new members attending a PPG event for the first time following appointments during the year, including those in the new Project Support Members category.
