UK – The United Kingdom Warehousing Association (
UKWA) 75th Anniversary
Lunch and Awards being held at London's Dorchester on June 27 was always going to be a rather special event but the news that the event is to be graced with the presence of Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal, in her role as Patron of the UKWA's official charity,
Transaid, will add an undoubted gloss to what is always a very special occasion.
The presence of the Princess Royal should emphasise how seriously the 500 or so guests will be taking the cause of Transaid in the UKWA’s celebratory year. We have written at length how the charity, a favourite of the freight and logistics community, saves the lives of countless people across Africa, with the current drive to defeat malaria in Zambia a particular target.
Winning one of the UKWA Awards for Excellence, this particular year will therefore provide even more kudos than usual for all of the ten worthy winners in a contest sponsored by Savills, in what will doubtless be an environment even more competitive than usual so, if you haven’t yet entered this year’s Awards, there’s just still time to burnish your brand reputation by putting forward your company, or an outstanding colleague, for industry recognition at this very special event.
