UK - The Port of Tilbury is weathering the recession surprisingly well, according to the ports director, Perry Glading. He states that: “We are continuing to attract new business, even in the current climate”.
Tilbury has seen an increase in business in the last twelve months according to details released prior to the publishing of its annual figures. Continuing growth in the ports use led to the investment of £1.25 million in new hard-standing facilities to increase capacity for trailers and containers.
