SWITZERLAND - Panalpina has been formally awarded a contract to increase the logistical support it gives KCA DEUTAG. The new deal means Panalpina will increase the work it already does for the drilling company in Angola, Gabon, Libya, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan over the forthcoming 3 years.

The decision – representing the retention of both key current business and the award of new business activity – strongly increases Panalpina’s overall commercial relationship with KCA DEUTAG.

Frank Goerke, Leader of Materials and Transport at KCA DEUTAG, said that:

“Expectations from KCA DEUTAG’s side are to work with a professional partner and base the renewed partnership on credibility, capability, and competence. This vision combined with a very strong focus on efficiency will be a major improvement and achievable target for a professional freight forwarder like Panalpina to deliver door-to-door service for KCA DEUTAG globally.”

KCA DEUTAG, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Abbot Group Ltd, is one of the largest international land drilling contractors outside of the Americas and operates in over 20 countries around the world.
