UK – US – One of the oldest names associated with shipping and freight forwarding in Britain, Hull headquartered John Good, has opened its first ever office in the US. Formed in 1833 (a year in which 350 settlers set about creating the City of Chicago) the company has chosen the New York Metropolitan Area of New Jersey as the first site for a John Good Logistics presence in the country.

With location being all important, the new facility will better serve the company’s US clients and cement its position as a notable player in the growing and dynamic international logistics market. With John Good Logistics’ professional team located in this region, US customers will have full advantage of the company’s specialised expertise and decades of combined freight forwarding experience for a variety of industries, as well as the opportunities provided by its global network, in a key area.

Services will include General Cargo, Project Forwarding, and specialised moves by land, sea, and air freight. Alan Platt, Chairman of John Good Logistics, was enthused by the development, saying:

”I am excited to announce the opening of our North America office. I am even more excited with the team that has joined the John Good Logistics family to lead this exciting new venture. I am certain that it will grow and contribute to the seamless delivery of high-quality specialist forwarding services to our international customers, such as our specialist expertise in logistics for the packaging industry.”

John Good Logistics, Inc. will be led by newly appointed industry veteran, Dean Temple, President who will be joined by Martha Rojas, Executive Vice President of Sales USA, and Eric Soto, Vice President, who bring a wealth of knowledge and industry experience to the team. Dean Temple commented:

”I am thrilled to join the John Good family and to have been entrusted with establishing their US operations. I was impressed with the commitment to embrace the digitalisation of our industry and their unwavering strategic vision to expand in the US, despite the current climate.

“I am confident our US presence will strengthen existing customer relationships, allow us to develop new ones, and will enable us to contribute significantly to the future global growth of the John Good Logistics organisation.”

Dean Temple, Martha Rojas and Eric Soto have worked together previously at UTC Overseas, whilst the opening of the New Jersey office represents another critical step in John Good Logistics growth following expansion in the UK, Europe, and Turkey.
