FRANCE / CHINA – French logistics operator Norbert Dentressangle (ND) has announced that they are to acquire freight forwarder APC Beijing International. APC, which operates sixteen offices throughout China, last year turned over £44 million ($72 million) and is expected to be consolidated into the ND Group by the final quarter of this year.

Once APC Beijing’s operations are integrated into the Group’s operations Norbert Dentressangle state that they expect their freight forwarding division to play a much more significant part in the group’s total earning.

In the company’s figures released yesterday for the first half of 2011, the group’s consolidated revenue totalled £1.5 billion ($2.45 billion), up 21.9% from the same period last year. The company states that much of the growth is attributable to the consolidation of TDG’s activities - which ND took over this year – into their work stream.
