WORLDWIDE – Beginning in April 2019 the Ocean Alliance, the container line services provided jointly by CMA CGM, COSCO Shipping, Evergreen Line and OOCL, will launch what the partners have termed its Day 3 Product. The quartet claim that their alliance is the largest operational agreement between shipping companies in the world.

The new agreement signed this week by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the CMA CGM Group, Rodolphe Saadé, along with executives from the other lines, will see 330 container ships, 111 of which will be supplied by the French company, operating a revised schedule of 38 services with a total estimated carrying capacity of around 3.8 million TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units).

Ocean Alliance says it has the largest service offer on the Trans Pacific trade with 19 services and has added a 7th service to its Asia/European portfolio. In addition there are 2 Asia-Red Sea services, 4 between Asia and the Mediterranean whilst it is the only alliance offering 4 services between Asia and the Middle East.
