Drivers can Use Single Card to Settle Road Charges in Five States

EUROPE - The British International Freight Association (BIFA) have advised us of a new website for drivers using the Eurovignette Toll Payments System. The scheme is open to all trucks exceeding 12 tonnes when loaded, in the countries using the scheme.

At present enlisted treaty countries are all members of the EU and include Belgium, Denmark, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Sweden. Drivers using the scheme are able to pass through several member countries using the same Eurovignette.

Payment details and terms of use can be viewed at the Eurovignette website here. Drivers are advised to check all details before they enter them onto the website as it appears to be fairly rigid in the case of mistakes. A look at the FAQ page is advised before booking.

Online payment can only be made by way of a fuel or fleet card from the following: DKV, Esso, euroShell, HGK/SVG, Multi Service Europe, Redfuel/LOMO, Ressa, TSI Global Star, UTA.

An online credit card facility will apparently be made available soon and bookings can still be made via any POS station. A list of these is available from the AGES website.
