New Role for London Based Freight and Logistics Group

IJS Strengthens Ocean Freight Team

UK - Logistics service provider IJS Global, has expanded the senior management team of its ocean freight division with the announcement of the appointment of Matthew Deer as its Head of Ocean Freight EMEA and Senior Vice President. Deer brings extensive experience from the global logistics to IJS Global, having held various positions within global shipping lines as well as senior positions in the freight business.

Mr Deer will report directly to CEO EMEA, Mike Gillett and functionally to Sven Boekhorst Head of Global Ocean Freight and Executive Vice President. In this newly established role Deer will be responsible for ocean freight procurement and operations as well as the further development of the company’s sea freight services in the EMEA region.

Based from the company's EMEA head office close to London's Heathrow Airport he has wide experience of Ocean Freight procurement as well as operations and sales activities across the EMEA region he will focus on strategically growing and solidifying IJS global market share in the ocean freight sector by specifically targeting new business sectors for the company through which it can further extend the group’s rapidly growing ocean freight business.
