US – Con-way Multimodal, a freight brokerage division of Con-way Incorporated's operating unit Menlo Worldwide Logistics, this week announced Dallas is to be the location for its business headquarters. The headquarters reside at the same location as the new operations office that Con-way Multimodal opened last November in Frisco, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. Con-way Multimodal arranges third-party carriage by way of road haulage, intermodal, flatbed, heavy haul and specialized freight transportation and logistics. Tommy Barnes, president of Con-way Multimodal said:

"Dallas is one of the top freight brokerage markets in the country, and establishing a presence here is an important step in our growth plans. We're not only able to better serve our customers in the area, but we can foster new relationships as well. It's all about elevating our service and expertise."

Located on Internet Boulevard the Frisco headquarters is also home to the fourth Con-way Multimodal operations office and Con-way believes the new attractive location will enable it to recruit from a local pool of labour, essential if the company intends to continue growth. The multimodal network also includes offices in Ann Arbor, Michigan; Portland, Oregon; and Bentonville, Arkansas and Con-way intend to create synergies with other group companies such as Menlo Worldwide Logistics and its sister companies, Con-way Freight and Con-way Truckload.
