New Multipurpose Ocean Freight Service to Carry Everything from Containers to Break Bulk Cargo

UK – GERMANY – EUROPE – US – MEXICO – As part of its liner agency agreement with Hamburg headquartered MACS Maritime Carrier GmbH & Co., Hull based John Good Shipping can now offer its shipping customers a new Multipurpose Service between UK/North West Continental Europe and the US Gulf/Mexico – US East Coast from January 2015. The Service will employ the 34,000 dwt open-hatch/box-shaped Multipurpose Container Vessels, Amber Lagoon and Purple Beach both of which have a lifting capacity of 110 tonnes. The new service will accept Break Bulk, Unitised Cargo, Rolling Stock, Steel Products, Project Freight and Bulk Parcels as well as container traffic.

The first Eastbound sailing from the US Gulf will be mv Amber Lagoon Voyage # 5401 leaving Houston 5 January 2015. The first Westbound Voyage # 5301 will start loading in Bremen on 30 January 2015 and the service will be on a monthly frequency basis.

The rotation of the service will be loading at Altamira (Mexico), with the vessel calling at New Orleans and Houston. Upon arrival in Europe, the ship will discharge at Rotterdam with further unloading at Immingham, prior to the loading for the Westbound journey at Bremen, Antwerp and Bilbao, before heading back to the US Gulf.

In Europe the service is managed by Macs Maritime Carrier GmbH with GALBORG Pte Ltd the agent over in the US. Together the group owns and operates a fleet of fourteen modern large open-hatch/box-shaped Tweendeckers and this new routing connecting the US Gulf/East Coast with the UK and Europe further extends John Good’s commitment to its clients in offering a variety of services.
