UK – his month will see the opening of a new £2 million mail processing hub in Aylesford, Kent by the eCommerce and specialist mail services firm The Delivery Group. The site comprises a 25,000 square foot warehouse including office space which has been purpose-built by the company and will host over fifty staff.

The company says the new premises will enable it to support the rapidly growing delivery demand from eCommerce clients based outside London, and the Kent location, near Maidstone, has been specifically chosen for its proximity to prime motorway links to the company’s main suppliers. The company was subject to a management buy-out in June 2018.

Over 100,000 packages will be processed each month, with the company claiming the hub is specifically designed to facilitate the provision of professional, sustainable solutions, value and high standards of customer service. The site is set to be officially opened with the unveiling of a plaque by the Worshipful the Mayor of Tonbridge and Malling, Councillor Pam Bates, on 11 March. Steve Stokes, CEO, The Delivery Group commented:

“This is an exciting time of growth for the company and this investment outlines our determination to offer exceptional value and service to clients throughout the UK. We move 1.6 million items a month of tracked and untracked mail and parcels both domestically and internationally.

”The new Kent hub complements our existing sites in Warrington, Luton and Central London and enables us to effortlessly handle the growing volume of parcels and packages that we are processing on behalf of the UK’s rapidly expanding eCommerce marketplace.”
