MUMBAI – Yesterday saw the official announcement of the first Indo-European fair for the transport industry. Euro India Transport Systems (E.I.T.S.) will take place in Metz, France between the 17th and 19th November (not as erroneously reported elsewhere in the freight press October).

The event will cover all aspects of the transport industry with logistics taking a section of its own. Several hundred small and medium sized Indian companies are expected to attend together with blue chip organisations such as Arcellor Mittal.

The event is being hosted by Moselle General Council, along with Moselle Development Agency and Proximum the French marketing and consulting group. "EITS aims at bringing together for the first time, 1,500 representatives from Indian and European companies in six sectors--automobile, aeronautics and aerospace, rail truck/bus, ship-building, transport and logistics industries," Moselle General Council Vice-President, M Claude Bitte, told reporters at a meeting in the Taj Mahal Palace & Tower, Mumbai.

There will be a series of road shows in 15 cities across the subcontinent to publicise the event. Exhibitors can register using the link shown below.
