UK – Project freight forwarding specialist Tuscor Lloyds has spent over 20 years perfecting shipping methods across the globe, but this week saw the company navigate its own move to new headquarters in Manchester. Transferring from the old Trafford Park HQ to Cobra Court in Stretford may only be a couple of miles but the relocation comes after months of creative planning to shape a modern and unique environment for the expanding business which handles classic ‘bread and butter’ FCL and consolidated cargo shipments and logistics with its more exotic out of gauge traffic.
In an exceedingly busy year to date, Tuscor Lloyds has been named in the London Stock exchange ‘Top 1000 companies to inspire Britain’ and Manchester’s Fastest 50 business list for the second year running. In 2014 the company were accredited with ISO certification, opened offices in Madrid, celebrated 20 years of trading and still managed to plan the expansion to new premises.
The company also took on new staff in 2014 to serve its diverse client base of retailers, manufacturers, refineries and other freight forwarders who look to utilise its expertise in complex shipments and its network of international offices in Belgium, Canada, India, Italy, Mexico, Spain and the U.A.E to support operations in some of the most challenging and remote locations around the world.
Since the company’s inception in 1994, Tuscor Lloyds headquarters have always been rooted in Manchester across a number of locations in the city, but general manager Neel Ratti considers the new office at Cobra Court to be a long-lasting home for the business, commenting:
“In 5 years the company has increased its turnover by 100% and staff numbers have grown by over a third. These new premises will see us through the next 5 years even if we continue to grow at this rapid pace.”
