TAIWAN – EUROPE – Global freight and logistics group Weiss Röhlig has launched a weekly consolidation service between Hamburg and Taiwan citing the growing demand for imported products from Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic following the introduction of the company’s container groupage service from Taiwan to the Czech Republic earlier this year.

Weiss Röhlig is a co-operation between the Gebrüder Weiss Group which is present in over 137 countries worldwide and Bremen based air and sea freight forwarder the Röhlig group. Weiss Röhlig has scheduled trucking and rail services from all major European ports into Eastern Europe supported on the ground through the company’s network of offices in Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Romania, Bulgaria and Ukraine. Holger Stoelker, Managing Director of Weiss Röhlig, Taiwan commented:

“Many of our customers in Taiwan have growing business ties with Poland and the Czech Republic and this service will support this demand. This is an indicator that bilateral trade is being developed in eastern and central Europe, driven by Taiwan investment in the manufacturing sector in this emerging market.”
