QATAR – INDIA – UK – Two new services from Doha based Qatar Airways Cargo this week with the commencement of a weekly A330 freighter service to Delhi and the addition of a five times per week scheduled B777 service to London Stansted.
Qatar, which launched a Hyderabad service in April is aiming at the key local manufacturing markets of Delhi which include electronic products and retail clothing items and particularly the growing trade in pharmaceuticals.
The new Stansted service strengthens the national carrier’s presence in the UK and was welcomed by the UK’s largest airport operator, the Manchester Airport Group (MAG) which manages Britain’s second largest cargo air hub with Commercial Cargo Director, Graeme Ferguson commenting:
“The introduction of this new service creates new opportunities for customers from the Middle East and beyond, as well as for businesses and exporters from across London and the Eastern region.”
