UK – The days are getting longer, Brexit draws closer (possibly) and, in just a couple of months the biggest show in the country's freight and logistics calendar will once again open its doors for three days as Multimodal 2019 welcomes visitors from home and abroad to catch up on an eventful year for British shipping interests. Registration is now open for the UK's largest logistics event that brings together businesses and industry leaders from all sectors of the shipping and transport professions.

Multimodal 2019 also witnesses the presence of transport and logistics organisations, including the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), the Freight Transport Association (FTA), and the British International Freight Association (BIFA), plus of course the United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA), which is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, and which will again be hosting a pavilion where its member organisations will exhibit.

Multimodal 2019’s education programme will feature seminars and workshops on new technology as innovation and disruptor, Brexit opportunities and the labour crisis, and the show’s third day will focus on recruiting, retaining and engaging new talent in the industry. The FTA Multimodal Awards and gala dinner are a regular feature of the event, and this year they are hosted by snooker legend, Steve Davis, OBE.

Maritime Transport, Ocean Network Express (ONE), Associated British Ports, DP World London Gateway and Southampton, Pentalver and the Swain Group are only a small sample of the exhibitors who will be hosting stands at the event which takes places at the NEC Birmingham from 18-20 June 2019, and is free-to-attend for visitors. Rob Jervis, Logistics Portfolio Director for Clarion Events which organises the show, commented:

“Multimodal 2019 provides the UK’s biggest platform for all sectors of the supply chain to connect and grow their businesses, and we are delighted to announce that registration is now open. Our exhibitor line-up is expected to reach 300, and will allow visitors to network with industry leaders, get to know new and established businesses and gain unparalleled insights into the logistics and transport industry.”

The awards celebrate outstanding individual and business contributions to the industry, and nominations in a number of categories can be made online HERE and to register as a visitor for Multimodal 2019 use this link.
