UK – Already preparations are well under way for the eleventh year of the Multimodal Exhibition and Conference, the country's premier event for many in the freight and logistics business and which will again be held at Birmingham's NEC, this year from May 1-3. As usual the exhibitors include a who's who of players from the world's of port management, shipping and road haulage, as well as the rail industry being well represented.

Many of the participants have stayed the course, exhibiting every year and proving the efficacy of the event for many in the industry. One such is Howard Tenens Logistics, this year to be found stand 4020, located in Hall 4, and a company which has had a presence at every single previous event.

This year, as well as sponsoring the Rail Freight Operator of the Year Award at the first evening’s Freight Transport Association (FTA) awards dinner, as well as being shortlisted themselves for both the Road Freight Operator and 3PL of the Year, Howard Tenens will be showcasing a pioneering new App that the company has developed - HT Live.

HT Live runs on Apple and Android devices and provides customers with real time transparency, reliable order fulfilment and robust quality control from any location at any time of the day. HT Live will provide ordered, despatched and delivered milestones with timestamp and even provide users with an ETA and map showing the driver’s location. Beth O’Neill - Group Commercial Manager at Tenens and last year’s Multimodal ‘Young Logistics Professional of the Year’ winner, emphasised how the exhibition has worked for her organisation, saying:

“Multimodal has always been a major highlight of the year for the group. Showcasing Howard Tenens at Multimodal for the past ten years has enabled us to meet with some of our leading customers. These initial meetings have since progressed and formed a number of highly successful working relationships with the likes of Costa and Asahi.”

Registration for Multimodal is free and can be made here whilst, should you wish to back Howard Tenens, or any of the other candidates for this year’s awards, you have until 16 April to register your votes here.
