US – Menlo Worldwide Logistics, the California based transport management subsidiary of Con-way Incorporated, have renovated a 134,000 square foot warehouse in a technology park in Bay City, Michigan in order to streamline the supply chain of a major customer, Dow Wolff Cellulosics.

The move will create a tighter link between the point of production in Midland, Michigan and the distribution depot eliminating around 450 interstate truck movements with consequent savings of road miles, fuel and emissions.

The new depot is situated in Monitor Township's Valley Center Technology Park and was abandoned as a manufacturing facility for some time before being fully renovated for the new contract and adds to the 16 million square feet of dedicated warehousing already controlled by Menlo in 17 countries world wide.
