The container giant’s Pacific Express service will commence 16th September from Cat Lai Port which serves Ho Chi Minh city and meet up with the Maersk trans Pacific TP6 route in Hong Kong which transits to and from Los Angeles.

The service will cut the Vietnam to Los Angeles transit time to 17 days, down from the usual 19. The announcement follows several other carriers, including MOL and APL, who have introduced new routes between Vietnam’s Cai Mep Port and the West Coast.
