WORLDWIDE – Third party logistics provider OIA Global, announced last week that it has purchased the majority control of freight forwarders Bellville International, the holding company for Bellville Rodair International in Europe, US, China and Brazil. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed whilst Bellville Rodair’s Canadian operation is not a part of the deal and will continue to trade independently with its original shareholders still in situ. Charlie Hornecker, CEO of OIA Global said:

"This acquisition is very strategic for our company. We've searched extensively for the right partner in Europe, and are delighted with the outcome. This acquisition expands our global network by 22 company-owned offices, serving 14 additional countries, which positions OIA to better serve our growing international client base, particularly in Europe where Bellville has a strong presence.”

According to Bellville, the enlarged global network of 51 offices in 21 countries will extend its capabilities, both geographically and in the depth and breadth of the services it offers, whilst being ‘perfect platform’ to further develop the reach of its general forwarding, energy, automotive and fashion divisions. Terry Walpole, Chairman of the Bellville Rodair Group said:

"As part of the growing OIA Global family, our clients will also benefit greatly from the acquisition. OIA's well-established global network and suite of transportation, warehousing, distribution and global packaging solutions, combined with our particular expertise in energy, automotive and fashion logistics, is a win/win for both OIA and Bellville clients alike."
