ITALY – Having only just opened up new facilities in the UK and Lithuania, Rhenus Logistics, based in Germany's populous North Rhine-Westphalia region, has continued its aggressive expansion policy to extend its freight network announcing another addition to its European facilities with the launch of a new warehouse in the Lazio region of Italy.

Situated close to Rome, Rhenus’ new Italian site enables the freight forward specialist to offer a complete, integrated transport solution for its customers in the region. Initially covering a space of more than 22,000 square metres, Rhenus also has the option to expand the site’s warehousing space by up to 45,000 square metres based on demand. Speaking at the facility’s launch ceremony, Guglielmo Davide Tassone, managing director of Rhenus Logistics Italy, commented:

“From our new branch office, we’re able to serve our customers in the Rome, central and southern Italian markets, while maintaining connections to the broader international network of the Rhenus group.”
