UK – The New Year has been a busy period for logistics specialist insurance brokers Peter Lole. The company, which offers the full suite of assurances from a portfolio which ranges from Marine and Goods in Transit through to personal cover, once again was a major sponsor of this month’s British International Freight Association (BIFA) Awards, celebrating that most exotic of categories, Project Forwarding.

The company used the Awards to present its new and more modern rebranding, an initiative which was driven by staff and which revised the company's trading name from Peter Lole & Co to the ‘do exactly what it says on the tin’ title of Peter Lole Insurance Brokers. Maybe not the most exciting development but, coupled with the new logo and website upgrade, a very practical move in an age where business is more often obtained on line, rather than by introduction and extended personal contact, ensuring a potential client knows exactly what type of service he or she is looking at. Managing Director Simon Lole, whose father established the business in 1979, said:

"We're very excited about the new branding which has been designed to reflect our expertise in the insurance sector and give us a fresh and modern approach."

Recently the family firm held a cake sale to raise money to help children with serious illnesses and disabilities. Inviting fellow workers from businesses situated around its Mercury Park offices to contribute resulted in a creditable sum approaching £300 to fund the local Dreamflight charity.

Dreamflight, which provides 'once in a lifetime' holidays for the children, enabling them to make accompanied visits to the theme parks in Orlando, Florida, with volunteer escorts and medical professionals on hand, holds an official ‘Dreamflight Day’ annually and the sale of the delicious variety of offerings was timed to celebrate this.
