FINLAND – One Sea, the industry alliance whose primary aim is to lead the way towards an operating autonomous maritime ecosystem by 2025, has appointed Riku-Pekka Hägg as Chair of its Management Board. He previously served as One Sea's Vice Chair.

Hägg will oversee One Sea while retaining his current role as Vice President, Ship Design and Integrated Solutions Sales at Wärtsilä.

UK – Maritime Transport has announced Chris Lewis as its new Non-Executive Director, effective since October 1. With over thirty-five years’ experience in the ports and shipping industry, Lewis will bring invaluable experience to the Board going forward, having previously held senior positions at Hutchison Ports UK and DP World as Chief Executive Officer, and DP World Southampton and London Gateway as Managing Director.

UK – GoPlasticPallets has announced Esther Bussell as its new Key Account Sales Manager.

UK – Xpediator has appointed Charlotte Bennett as Group People Director.

GERMANY – StreetScooter has announced Tesla Director, Peter Bardenfleth-Hansen as the company’s new Chief Growth Officer. Ulrich Stuhec, former Manager at Ford, will join StreetScooter as new Chief Technical Officer. Stuhec succeeds Fabian Schmitt, who will take on a new role in the company.

DENMARK – Ballast water management company, Bawat, has announced Marcus Hummer, former COO at Kelvion, a manufacturer of heat exchangers, has taken up the post as the company's new Managing Director. Hummer replaces Kim Diedrichsen, who has been in the role since 2013.

Thomas Knudsen, former CEO of MAN Energy Solutions and chair of Maritime Denmark, has been appointed to the Board of Directors, together with Charlotte Hummer Vad, former Head of Customer Communication, Novozymes, and Peter Stokbro, Head of Technical Department, Uni-Tankers. Klaus Nyborg, Chair of the board at, among others, DS Norden, continues as Chair of the Board of Directors.

CANADA – Logistec has named Michel Miron to the role of Executive Vice President of Gulf Stream Marine (GSM) operations. Miron has over 30 years of hands-on experience in the marine and transportation industry and 20 years as a member of Logistec Stevedoring’s senior leadership team

US – The American Trucking Association (ATA) has elected Randy Guillot, President of Triple G express, as the federation's 75th Chair. He replaces Barry Pottle, CEO of Pottle’s Transportaton.

The Board also elected as Sherri Garner Brumbaugh, President and CEO of Garner Trucking as ATA first Vice Chair; Harold Summerford Jr., CEO of J&M Tank Lines as ATA second Vice Chair; as well as Dan Van Alstine, President and COO of Ruan Transportation Management Systems and Andrew Boyle, co-President of Boyle Transportation, as ATA Vice Chairs.

In addition, the Board re-elected John M. Smith, Chair of Admiralty Holdings, as Secretary and John A. Smith, President and CEO of FedEx Freight, as treasurer.
