WORLDWIDE – UK – Global maritime charity Sailors’ Society has announced the appointment of Sara Baade as its new Chief Executive Officer, starting in September. Baade has a strong background in management and strategic policy and brings extensive experience in leading an international welfare charity from her current role as CEO of The Army Families Federation.

WORLDWIDE – The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has announced that Karen Clayton has taken on the duties of General Counsel in addition to her responsibilities as Corporate Secretary effective since July 1. She takes on the additional responsibilities following the retirement of Jeff Shane as IATA’s General Counsel on June 30 after seven years of service.

UK – Seafarers UK has appointed Paul Butterworth as the new Chair at the charity's Annual Meeting, after serving as a Trustee for three years. He is a Partner and Head of the Maritime & Shipping Practice at the global executive search firm Odgers Berndtson, based in their London office. Butterworth succeeds Vice-Admiral Peter Wilkinson, who having chaired Seafarers UK’s Board of Trustees for 10 years, has taken the decision to retire.

UK – Maurizio d’Amico has been elected President of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA) for the 2020-2022 two-year period.

UK – The Signal Ocean Platform has announced the appointment of a new Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Alexandre Claude. Claude is the former Managing Director of SaaS energy platform CSN Energy.

UK – Allseas Global Logistics, has announced a new management team to head-up the company’s airfreight services division, Allair Global. Steve Morris and Scott Cahill have both been named Branch Manager and are based at the company’s offices at Heathrow.

FRANCE – Yann Leriche has become the new Chief Executive Officer of Getlink, in accordance with the decision taken by the company’s Board of Directors on January 30, 2020. Jacques Gounon will remain Char of the Board of Directors. Leriche was previously CEO of Transdev North America, starting in 2017, in charge of the group's American and Canadian operations.

Getlink has announced also that Vincent Ducros has been appointed as Group Environment Director, effective since June 29. Since 2018, Ducros has been Project Manager at Suez Recycling and Recovery France, where he led a response unit to public infrastructure tenders in the performance market or concessions.

Ducros reports to Sandrine Prieur, Group CSR Director, and uses his experience within Europorte, ElecLink and Eurotunnel to make the most of the Group’s assets.

GERMANY – Elatec has announced Robert Helgerth as its new CEO, effective since July 1. Helgerth was most recently responsible for Microsoft’s partner business in Asia. He takes over from Stefan Haertel who is moving from operational responsibility to a strategic consulting role for product development and acquisitions.

US – American Airlines has announced Jessica Tyler to the role of President of Cargo and Vice President of Airport Excellence, leading the teams responsible for the success of the cargo business and delivering operational and customer service excellence for both airports and cargo.

Tyler will report directly to Jim Butler, Senior Vice President of Airport Operations and Cargo. Tyler is preceded by Rick Elieson, who moved within the company to serve as Vice President of Loyalty, overseeing the AAdvantage® loyalty programme.

Additionally, Roger Samways will take on an expanded role as Vice President of Commercial Cargo, reporting to Tyler, and will be responsible for global cargo sales, revenue management and customer care. Lisa Oxentine will report to Samways as Managing Director of Cargo Global Sales.

David Vance will continue to lead the cargo operation, but in an expanded role that oversees all policies and procedures for the airline and aligns airport and cargo operations. He will serve as Vice President of Cargo Operations and Airport Support, also reporting to Tyler.

US – A&R Logistics has promoted two members of its finance team. Natalie Masin was named as the Vice President of Finance, Corporate Controller for the company, while Adam Denton assumed the role of Vice President of Finance, Head of Shared Services. Masin and Denton will both report to CFO, Taimur Sharih.

US – Tenneco has announced Matti Masanovich as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective August 10. He will succeed interim CFO Ken Trammell.

US – Navistar International has announced that its board of directors has appointed Persio Lisboa President and Chief Executive Officer. Troy Clarke, who has held the roles of Navistar President, Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board of Directors since April 2013 and Chair of the Board of Directors since February 2017, will continue to serve the company in the newly created position of Executive Chair. These changes came into effect on July 1.
