Kuehne and Nagel Does a Beautiful Logistics Job For Colomer

Europe - Spanish cosmetics company The Colomer Group has awarded Kuehne + Nagel the warehousing, picking & packing and distribution activities for its hair care products Revlon Professional and American Crew throughout much of Europe.

Within the scope of the five-year contract, Kuehne + Nagel will consolidate all logistics operations for Colomer’s Central European logistics operations at its distribution centre in Biebesheim near Darmstadt, Germany, a facility that has been expressly tailored to the requirements of the cosmetics industry.

The new contract will remove the current need for Colomer to operate separate warehouses in France and Germany and will see K+N supply professional hair salons in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxemburg and the Netherlands with hair care products; distribution will then be expanded to Switzerland at a later stage.

In a statement Volker Sauerborn, Vice President Sales & Business Development Contract Logistics Central Europe at Kuehne + Nagel, said that the company was “delighted” to have been chosen by Colomer for the contract and that it represented a ”… great opportunity for us to further expand our industry-specific services for the cosmetics sector.”
