Kuehne And Nagel Appoint New Sea Freight VP

Management Change to North West Europe Regional Management Board

UK – EUROPE – Kuehne & Nagel have announced a senior management change in their North West Europe Regional Management Board which is headquartered in Uxbridge, United Kingdom, and spans around 150 locations in six countries including Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom. As from the 1st August Daryl Ridgway has assumed the role of Senior Vice President, Seafreight replacing Diederick de Vroet, who has decided to return with his family to his native country of Holland.

Tim Scharwath, President of Kuehne + Nagel North West Europe sees success in developing the company’s UK ocean freight operations as Director of Seafreight Operations since 2008 as an ideal schooling for Mr Ridgway’s new appointment. He said:

“With our ambitious targets in Seafreight, Daryl’s role as Director Seafreight North West Europe will be to continue expanding our product and service range and ensure that we are consistently delivering solutions that meet the needs of our customers.”

With over 22 years of experience in shipping, Daryl started his career at Geodis Overseas, rising up to the position of National Seafreight Manager before joining Kuehne + Nagel in 2002 as UK LCL (Less than Container Load) Manager going on to be Trade Manager - Asia, Indian Sub Continent, Australia and New Zealand in 2005 before his promotion in 2008.
