ISO Certification for Multi Billion Dollar Middle Eastern Logistics Facility

UAE – Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) has awarded the Khalifa Industrial Zone (Kizad), the multibillion dollar development adjacent to Khalifa Port and west of Jebel Ali. Kizad has a strategic location between Abu Dhabi and Dubai with intermodal infrastructure to create a complete logistics facility. The ISO 9001:2015 certification demonstrates the zone’s ability to offer products and services of consistently good quality. Apart from authenticating the industrial zone’s efficient and streamlined business processes the qualification, the zone’s management says it also proves the organisation’s capability to satisfy its customers and provides a sound foundation for growth and sustained success. Basem Obaid, General Manager, India, MEA & South East Europe at Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA), said:

Developer and operator, Abu Dhabi Ports recently made a major strategic initiative to attain the ISO certification for the whole organisation. The company has set up the ISO Steering Committee to take the necessary steps for this purpose. ISO 9001:2015 certification for Kizad is the first milestone attained in this strategic initiative of the business process systems development project in line with internationally certified best practice standards.
